I went a shootin'

For a ward activity the bishop took us shooting down at a gun club in Spanish Fork, Ut. It was SO much fun. I loved it. We got to use real shotguns and shoot at clay pigeons. I was nervous at first because I was scared that I would not hit a single one.
When it was my turn to shoot Janell showed my how to load it and Bro. Cole explained to me how to use the gun properly. So I put the butt of the gun on my right shoulder, put my head down so I could look down the barrel, I had my right hand on the trigger and my left hand on body. When I was ready I had to say "pull" for them to shoot off the clay pigeon. Well just as I had predicted I missed the first one. So I tried it again and missed. Then this guy in my ward came over and said, I noticed that you are looking out your left eye and shooting right so close your left eye. I tried that and still failed miserably.
Then Bro. Cole suggested that I try shooting left handed and I thought what, I am not left handed but I decided to try to anyways. Guess who shot it on their first try left handed? Yep, that would be me. Apparently my left eye is dominate and that why I was focusing out of it from the beginning. I hand no idea I was a left handed shooter.
I have noticed lately that I do close my right eye when I focus. It makes me laugh.
